It’s all kickin’ off for ya again! Are ya rested up and ready for it?
[Lee Laughs] Dunno about rested! We’re all up for it though. We haven’t been away even though people think we have! We’ve still been working all round the world. We’re off to Dubai in a minute. We never stop working.

D’ya ever get the chance to sit back and relax?
I really don’t take time out to be honest with you- I’m a bit of a workaholic!
After finishing work with Blue, I go to the studio anyway. I’m always in there! I still love what I do and like making more work for myself!

Ooh! Spill the secrets on what yer up to?
You know what Simon’s doing with his own company? I’ve got the same sort of thing going on with Sef from Reelists. We manage a singer called Sheree and we’re doing production for different artists as well. It’s cool.

Blimey! Ya must be knackered! D’ya miss having a normal life?
I just get on and don’t think about it. There’s no way to get round it. I won’t say it’s not like that ‘cause it is. The thing I find hard is fake people- there are so many of them in this business.
They just want to know me ‘cause I’m famous. And as soon as Blue are gone, no-one will even want to know us, and I realise that.

Are you getting good at spotting the fakers?
Not really. It can be difficult, but then again what are you meant to do? Go through your life not trusting people? Even if people do dump on me, I’m always going to have my family and my true friends.

D’ya get to see yer mates much?
I don’t really ring them that much, but I know they’re there for me. I’ll go to house parties if they’re on and I’ve got time off. I don’t want to go out to any clubs round my way ‘cause it’s not a very nice area. I might get a kicking or a beating or even get stabbed. But they don’t want to go out in London ‘cause it’s expensive and pretentious.

What about yer mates in music?
I spoke to Mattie Busted yesterday. I don’t give him advice or anything- we just have a giggle. He was saying how he remembers me telling him how tried I was when Blue first started, and he didn’t believe me. He knows now though!

So he’s a tad tired then?
[Lee Laughs] It’s more than just tried, it’s absolute exhaustion. I told him that you just get used to it, being wrecked 24/7

Now. How’s yer lady life?
I haven’t been looking recently. I haven’t been out much.
Even when I am, I don’t get chatted up. The other lads do.
Dunno why… Maybe it’s ‘cause I’m the youngest. The older girls go for the other lads. I just stand back and watch. I can’t remember the last time, it was that long.

So how come we’re still hearing rumours about you and Liz?
When we first got together I was really pissed off with it being in the papers all the time. After a while, I was confused. And now I just laugh at it.
They’ve got to sell their papers, and how else are they going to do it?
It’s not gonna be from writing anything intelligent!

So are there any other celeb ladies that tickle yer fancy?
See, the reason I got together with Liz in the first place wasn’t because she’s a celebrity or anything.

Why was it then?
It’s because I saw something in her that was totally opposite to most celebrities. She’s the kinda girl I’d go for anyway.
I was nothing to do with her being famous too. She was cool.
Celebrities don’t attract me at all. I mean, I like some famous girls- the Sugababes are nice girls, but fame’s not what I fancy.

Finally, Where does Lee wanna be in five years time?
I wanna carry on with music, and I wanna do some acting too. And I’ve got a script what I wrote for a film.
It’s a heavy drama about basically how I was when I was younger. I’ve exaggerated my life and made it harder than it was. It’s not everything I’ve done, but the character is how I could have turned out to be- the papers’d love it!!!
