"i dont think so. i mean, i can do the whole coy thing cos iv got big eyes, but all the blokes iv ever been out with have been really good friends first.

Is that how it started out with Lee?
"Yeah - Lee and i were friends for sges before we got together. We were in New York when September the 11th happened and he was so supportive. And we both liked exactly the same things - music, films... Then i remember him turning round one day and saying ' i know that were friends but i like you, and i think theres something more' When he said that, i got nervous, but i realised i liked him too. We talked alot before we did anything because we didnt want to destroy our friendship, but we eventually decided to just go for it."

So what went wrong?
"There was so much pressure on us. At one point, i had to chnage my number cos i used to get so many calls form Blue fans slagging me off. And id get upset and hed get upset, and wed take it out on each other. And the papers were always printing rubbish about us seeing other people, and wed always be phoning each other explaining that it wasnt true. It was a nightmare. then one day we were both planning our world tours and we knew we werent going to see each other for ages, so we just decided it was going to be too difficult."

What do you think of him now?
"Hes lovely. Hes abit daft but thats whats so funy about him."

Do you get upset reading about his exploits with other girls?
"no its nothing to with me. im his past and hes my past. What we do now is none of each others buisness."

Were you heart broken when you split up with Lee?
"No, the only time i was really heartbroken was when i split up with Tommy [Hibbs, Liz's childhood sweetheart."]

Right so next time Lee gets a girlfriend, i no its gunna be hard cos we all love him but weve all got to stick by him, cos it upsets him when other Blue fans slag his girlfriends off. All together now "If lees happy then were happy!!!"
